Hi! First of all, thanks for looking at my site and secondly, thanks for clicking on 'About Me'!
Well, my name is Ruth and I currently live in Lincoln, England. I'm 22 years old and I began learning Turkish about 4 years ago, even though at the time I had not even visited Turkey! As I continued studying Turkish I began to fall in love with the language and the Turkish culture and so hoped on a plane in May 2007 to follow my dream of going to Turkey. I immediately felt at home there and I can honestly say I am never happier then when I'm in Turkey.
I set up this site to help other people to learn about this amazing language. I find Turkey, the Turkish culture and the Turkish people extremely interesting and really do feel at home when in Turkey, sometimes I think I was born the wrong nationality!
I'm sure you will enjoy learning Turkish - and get some fantastic reactions from Turkish people when you speak to them, most of them will be very flattered and pleased that you made the effort to learn their language!
